DURAND PRIMARY SCHOOL USE CALDICOT TOWN COUNCIL LITTER HUB EQUIPMENT

Thank you to Durand Primary School and Tom Ward Jackson at Keep Wales Tidy, for the first use of equipment

The first loan to two classes from Durand School resulted in three bags of litter cleared from a local park. Litter hub manager Barrie said “It went really well for our first run. The equipment all went out and came back again in one piece” and commented how the children afterwards were talking about litter and pointing out where there was more to collect. A member of sta...ff from Durand school said “It is really useful because we have got things like this in school but nowhere near enough. It’s great for the children to see how clean they can make an area and hopefully it’ll encourage them to never put rubbish anywhere else. It is great that we can borrow it.”

Caldicot Town Council is a litter hub - please get in touch if you would like to borrow equipment

NEW INCLUSIVE ROUNDABOUT INSTALLED AT KING GEORGE V PLAY AREA

The new roundabout has been installled in the play area. We hope children will enjoy playing on the piece, which is at ground level and accessible for all
