Caldicot Community Garden

You may have started to notice that work is being carried out in the garden at the Town Council Office. This is for a new Caldicot Community Garden which will be opening on 15th August 2025.

The garden has been funded by the National Lottery via a grant that the Town Council applied for and therefore has not cost Caldicot residents any money.

Almost all of the materials and structures that you will see have been built by local independent businesses, organisations and contractors.

The Community Garden will focus on home grown vegetables, providing free vegetable planters and vegetables to each of the schools in Caldicot, Caldicot Foodbank, Crossways Nursery, Red Robins Nursery and two community groups that use the Town Council building.

There will also be a focus on bio-diversity with insect, hedgehog, bat and bird homes to provide a safe and secure place for them, as well as encouraging native plant species to grow.

We hope that the garden will be treated with respect as it will very much be a community garden built by the community, for the community.
